The Claris Platform

Our tool of choice is the Claris Platform. The Claris Platform offers the ideal path to deliver modern custom apps that have been making businesses grow for decades.

Claris FileMaker-based solutions are used today by millions of people in the business, education, non-profit and government sectors. The Claris platform is a suite of tools used to rapidly build flexible database solutions for deployment on Windows, Mac, iPad and iPhone, and to extend them to the Web.

Claris is a wholly owned subsidiary of Apple and shares the same ease of use ethos.

Cutting Edge Software Ltd is a Claris Partner. All Claris Partners are vetted by Claris to ensure they can provide the expertise needed to build, modify and manage a professional FileMaker solution.

2004 saw FileMaker launch a new certification programme for its developers. Carl Henshall, founder of Cutting Edge Software, became one of the first UK developers to gain certification for FileMaker 7.

Carl was also one of the first UK developers to gain certification for FileMaker versions 8 through to 18 when they became available.

Version 18 was the last version specific certification. 2021 saw the launch of a new certification program. Instead of being version specific, it is valid for two years from the date you successfully pass the Developer Essentials for Claris FileMaker exam. Carl was again one of the first UK developers to gain this certification.

These certifications give you the reassurance that we have technical knowledge of the complete FileMaker product line.
